Teenagers - whatever !

For many decades now teenagers have been rebellious about, amongst other things, what they wear. They did not, and still do not, want to be seen wearing the same items of clothing as their parents - or any other adult. Unless, of course, the other adults just happen to be trend setting film stars or pop stars. Then it's OK. Or cool. Whatever!

These days teen fashions are as recognisable as mainstream adult fashions. And today's teenagers are very much more fashion aware. Some high profile teen celebrities from the film, television, or music world are creating their own clothing 'brand'. All this has lead to a greater selection from which to choose. In the USA where the average size of teenagers has increased, the fashion houses have reacted by expanding their collections to take into account the larger sizes.
